Bulgari enjoys a unique relationship with the timepiece industry. 

A part of the LVMH group, they are perhaps better known for their luxurious high jewelry, fashion, and fragrance divisions than they are for their wristwatches. But what the create horologically are entirely unique in the space, and offer something far beyond what their fashion-centric background might suggest. One need look no further than their award-winning (and completely breathtaking) series to prove that they have it where it counts in terms of design chops.

Less well known but equally interesting to us, are timepieces such as this one — the Bulgari Match Point. This piece has seen numerous iterations ranging from time-only models forged out of aluminum to precious metal references housing dual time and chronograph mechanisms. Each maintains signature Bulgari sports hallmarks which include a ‘Bvlgari Bvlgari’ signed bezel and an integrated rubber strap made in likeness to the original Genta-penned  designs.

This particular piece, a Reference 103854, is housed in a 40mm aluminum case with a brushed finish and features a rubber bezel, a locking crown and 100 meters of water resistance. Its white dial offers simplicity and legibility through its polished hour indices, luminous ‘sword’ handset and a date window at 3 o’clock.

What truly sets this piece apart is that it is actually a left-handed orientation for the crown, a relatively rare occurrence in the current marketplace.

The resulting product is at once retro-fantastic and highly . You'd have to look pretty far and wide to find a contemporary timepiece that looks this cool!
